Matthew “Matt” Graser, Managing Director, is the head of Alternative Investments. Matt is responsible for determining the overall strategic direction, investment sourcing/selection, and growth initiatives of the multi-alternatives platform. The Alternative Investments team manages proprietary and external alternative investment products with various risk, return, liquidity, and duration characteristics that complement or replace traditional investment portfolios, such as liquid alternatives, hedge funds, private equity, real estate, and credit.
Prior to joining NE Private Wealth, Matt spent more than two decades on Wall Street working in the Alternative Investment universe, directing investments across asset classes, sectors, geographies, and capital structures. Matt began his career working at Salomon Smith Barney as a research analyst. He has held an investment professional position at hedge funds Kellner Capital, Hunting Hill Global Capital, and Soros Fund Management.
Matt graduated with a BS from the University of Wisconsin in 1991 and an MBA from the Fordham Graduate School of Business in 2001 with a dual concentration in Finance and Accounting.
Matt currently resides in Garden City, NY with his wife Bryanne and their three children. Matt enjoys golf and tennis and is actively involved in Catholic Charities focusing on food distribution.
